The SS Rose and Clement Garden Committee welcomes all, no experience necessary. Volunteers needed most mid-June to September. All produce donated to West Bay Community Action, Mother Theresa Ministry or sold at the church farmers’ market and proceeds donated to Mother Theresa Ministry.      Many hands make light work

Every Saturday morning weather permitting from May – October  10 am- 12 pm

Jesus tells us repeatedly in the New Testament that one of the greatest commandments is to love your neighbor as yourself, and he guides us with examples of how to do this by helping people whose lives are a little harder.  Through the Garden Ministry we try to follow Jesus’s message by growing a variety of fresh vegetables and fruits for people who are dealing with food insecurity.  Everything we grow is given to the food pantry at West Bay Community Action, or to the Mother Theresa Ministry for their free meals program, or sold at our farmer’s market and the funds are also given to the Mother Theresa Ministry.  No need for a green thumb, just an open heart for working with others, learning about gardening, and a desire to help others in need.  Everyone is invited.
